Our client has been in the space for close to 10 years and has a track record of delivering utility-scale Solar + BESS projects in MISO, PJM, and SERC. They are a medium sized firm (45 people) but have extensive growth plans over the next few years and this leadership role within their EPC function will be crucial for them to achieve those goals. Job Description
The Head of EPC will be responsible for: Lead and manage all EPC efforts across the company's utility-scale Solar & BESS projects. Develop and implement scalable EPC strategies and processes that support rapid project execution across multiple ISO regions (MISO, PJM & SERC). Manage EPC budget planning, forecasting, and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle. Select, negotiate, and manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, and major equipment vendors. Oversee engineering review and design optimization to ensure technical excellence and cost-effectiveness. Establish and maintain rigorous QA/QC, safety, and construction management protocols. Collaborate closely with internal development, finance, legal, and asset management teams to ensure seamless project handoff and operational readiness. Monitor project performance, resolve issues, and provide regular reporting to the executive team. Build and mentor a high-performing internal EPC team and cultivate a culture of execution, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Head of EPC will have: 10+ years of experience in EPC leadership roles within the renewable energy sector, with a strong preference for utility-scale solar and/or battery storage. Demonstrated success delivering projects in MISO, PJM, and/or SERC regions. Deep understanding of EPC contracts, permitting processes, interconnection requirements, and construction logistics. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, external partners, and multiple complex projects simultaneously. Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. Willingness to travel as needed to project sites. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. What's On Offer
