About The Role:
The Mechanical Engineer will support startup and early-life operation of new RNG plants at Archaea, working closely with engineers and plant operations to ensure high plant reliability and safety. They will address design vulnerabilities and implement engineering solutions for plant improvements. Key Accountabilities: Participate in a dedicated "Startup/Stay-Up Squad" for high plant reliability and safety. Identify and resolve design defects and vulnerabilities in new plants. Lead creation of MOCs for plant modifications or upgrades. Coordinate with third-party engineering firms for deliverables. Ensure operational readiness for new facilities pre-startup. Contribute to operating, maintenance, and startup procedures and strategies. Support new operators and technicians in plant design and operation. Collaborate across teams for smooth startup and operation. Assist during first-time startup of multiple facilities annually. Essential Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Essential Experience: Over 8 years in natural gas processing, refining, petrochemicals, or related fields. Proven application of engineering standards (e.g., ASME, API). Experience with mechanical modifications and repairs. Knowledge of gas processing equipment operation and maintenance. Understanding of integrity management inspection techniques. Experience in root cause failure analysis. Proficiency with PFDs and P&IDs. Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%. Desirable Criteria: PE license. Experience with RNG facilities. Experience with flooded screw compressors or solid adsorption media beds. Why Join Us?
