Role description: Arcadis is seeking a highly motivated Principal System Planning and Studies Engineer to join the Power Delivery & Renewable team. This senior position involves technical and project management responsibilities, including client engagement, project execution, and resource planning. The role requires collaboration with various internal teams and external clients, primarily focusing on power system planning and studies for utility and developer clients in North America. Responsibilities include: Managing and growing the System Planning & Studies team. Performing HVAC and HVDC power systems analysis activities. Developing and improving power system planning processes and tools. Serving as Project Manager, Proposal Manager, and Technical Lead. Mentoring junior team members and ensuring quality standards. Qualifications & Experience: Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, minimum 12 years of relevant experience, proficiency with PSCAD and PSSE software, PE License. Preferred: Ph.D. in Power Systems, HVDC experience. Additional details: This role may involve up to 20% travel within North America.
