The Senior Project Manager, Pharmacy Project Management is responsible for conducting all aspects of assigned pharmacy projects. This position provides day-to-day oversight and management of various pharmacy operational and strategic planning projects, including but not limited to definition of project scope, management and status reporting utilizing project management methodology and tools, basic data analysis, risk analysis and mitigation strategies. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for reporting on their defined deliverables to identify variances in project plans and to develop contingency plans when necessary to keep project milestones on track. Tasks and responsibilities are varied depending on the project aims, scope and definition.
Partners with the Manager, Pharmacy Project Management to develop the systems, tools, and infrastructure needed for managing various projects including project initiation, project plans, coordinating and managing all project activities, and identifying/mitigating potential risks and issues, success metrics, timelines, and resource needs.

Scope and Complexity: Oversee highly complex, high-impact projects that are critical to the Institute's strategic objectives, involving multiple departments and external partners. Decision Making: Lead strategic decision-making processes, with full accountability for project outcomes and resource management. Stakeholder Interaction and Communication: Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including executive leadership, to drive project success and foster collaboration across the organization. Project Oversight: Lead the planning, execution, and evaluation of large-scale projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Quality Improvement and Innovation: Drive innovation and continuous improvement initiatives and align quality objectives with organizational goals. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic initiatives to detailed project plans, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term goals. Mentorship and Development: Mentor and guide project teams, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, healthcare, or a related field required. Nine (9) years of relevant experience with progressively increasing responsibility of which at least six (6) years must be in project management OR comparable roles.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
Extensive experience in project management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects successfully. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on strategic thinking and innovation. Proficiency in project management software and tools, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances in a fast-paced environment. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
