Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our dynamic team in West Des Moines, Iowa. This long-term contract role is ideal for a candidate with a strong background in analyzing business needs and translating them into actionable solutions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in insurance or financial services and excel in collaborative, fast-paced environments.
Responsibilities:
Analyze and document business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and technical capabilities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather detailed requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to ensure system functionality meets business needs.
Facilitate requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to identify key objectives.
Provide configuration documentation and ensure clarity in system processes and workflows.
Apply Agile Scrum methodologies to deliver solutions efficiently and effectively.
Conduct thorough reviews of documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Assist in the implementation and validation of life insurance and annuity processes.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices during project execution.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field preferred.
6-10+ years of business analyst experience, with a minimum of 4 years in insurance or financial services.
Proven expertise in life insurance and annuity processes is highly desirable.
Advanced ability to define business requirements and create technical documentation.
Strong proficiency in developing and executing test plans and cases.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and principles.
Excellent problem-solving, time management, and multitasking skills.
Effective communication and collaboration abilities across departments.
