Setting up project folders, downloading bid documents (plans, specifications, addenda), and uploading files into estimating software. Quantity Takeoffs:
Performing quantity takeoffs from blueprints and specifications using on-screen takeoff software or other tools, according to a construction company website. Subcontractor and Supplier Communication:
Soliciting bids from subcontractors and suppliers, sending out requests for pricing, and reviewing proposals for completeness and accuracy. Pricing and Cost Analysis:
Assisting with pricing materials, labor, and other project costs, and analyzing production data to ensure accurate estimates. Bid Package Preparation:
Helping prepare bid packages for submission, including gathering all necessary information and ensuring accuracy. Proposal Support:
Assisting with the completion of bid forms and other proposal requirements. Pre-bid Meeting Attendance:
Attending pre-bid meetings and bid openings to gather information and clarify project requirements. Internal Team Communication:
Collaborating with project managers, superintendents, senior estimators, and other team members to ensure alignment and accuracy. External Communication:
Communicating with architects, owners, and other stakeholders to gather information and address any questions or concerns. Profile The successful Assistant Estimator - High End Residential Construction candidate will have the following requirements Degree in Construction, Engineering, or related field 0-3 Years in Residential Construction Experience with Excel Buildertrend experience is a plus but not required A drive to learn and grow throughout your career Commutable to Nashua, NH Job Offer Whats on offer for the Assistant Estimator - High End Residential Construction Base salary Health, Dental Etc.
