Construction Manager (Transmission & Substation)
Location:
Newark, Delaware
Work Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Contract:
12 Months (potential to extend)
Pay Rate:
$73/hour
We're seeking an experienced and dedicated
Mid-level Construction Manager
specializing in
Transmission & Substation projects
. In this critical role, you'll oversee and manage all construction activities for electrical transmission and substation initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement
project plans, schedules, and budgets
specifically for transmission and substation projects.
Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers
to ensure all project requirements are met.
Manage construction progress and quality, guaranteeing
adherence to project specifications and industry standards
.
Procure necessary materials, equipment, and services for project execution.
Ensure
strict compliance with all safety regulations and standards
on construction sites.
Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including
reports, drawings, and specifications
.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors.
Conduct regular
site meetings and inspections
.
Collaborate with project managers and senior management to effectively
address project risks and issues
.
Manage project budgets, costs, and resources efficiently.
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience as a Construction Manager.
2+ years of specific experience with Transmission/Substation projects.
Extensive experience in
electric utility construction
, covering Transmission, Substation, and Distribution (above/underground).
Proficient with computer software platforms
, including email, text, and various MS Office products (e.g., Teams).
Ability to quickly learn and navigate internal project tracking platforms, specifically
uPPM
.

Pay Details:
$73.00 per week
