About the job About the Company: G&E is Partnered with a top 10 heavy civil construction firm in Texas driving the future of infrastructure with powerhouse projects including vast highway systems, bridges, underground, and marine feats reshaping skylines and shores alike. With over 70 years of proven performance, they’re known for executing complex, technically demanding projects with unmatched precision, reliability, and build quality. They are looking for a seasoned heavy Civil Construction Manager to lead from the front, driving strategic direction, operational execution, and project success at the highest level. Position Overview: In this role as a Construction Manager, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of complex heavy civil projects, ranging from $50M to $400M+. You’ll own every phase of these complex projects, driving high-performing teams to crush budgets, beat schedules, mitigate risks, and build lasting client relationships, delivering world-class results that set the standard in heavy civil construction Key Responsibilities: Take charge of on-site delivery for multiple heavy civil mega projects, driving excellence in safety, quality, timeline adherence, and budget control. Provide hands-on leadership to PMs, Superintendents, and Estimators, cultivating a results-driven environment built on accountability and skill development. Build and maintain key partnerships with clients, engineers, and agencies to surpass project targets while boosting the company’s regional and national presence. Own the tactical planning of resources, cost management, risk strategies, and scheduling to ensure flawless execution on every project. Track and analyze project metrics, delivering proactive solutions to keep construction progress smooth and on track. Collaborate with executive leadership to translate business growth objectives into actionable construction site strategies. Lead operational reviews, pre-construction prep, and closeout phases with a focus on continuous enhancement and adherence to industry-leading standards. Drive seamless integration between field operations and office teams through clear direction, real-time communication, and decisive management. Qualifications: 15+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction with a top-tier general contractor. Proven ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects valued up to $100M+ from preconstruction through successful delivery. Exceptional leadership and team-building skills with a demonstrated ability to manage senior-level project teams. Demonstrated financial proficiency with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration. Proficiency with scheduling software systems including Primavera P6, MS Project, and field data reporting tools.
