Qualifications Juris Doctor degree from a leading law school, admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. Minimum of 8+ years in a major law firm or sophisticated in‑house legal department. Deep transactional experience supporting utility‑scale energy projects (wind, solar, thermal), community solar portfolios, or energy infrastructure transactions. Demonstrated experience with FERC/state regulatory matters, district energy systems, or regulated utilities is a plus. Strong commercial judgment, ability to negotiate complex agreements, and capability to manage shifting priorities. Excellent verbal and written communication, coupled with project management skills and ability to build consensus across stakeholders. Strategic thinker and “get-to-yes” mindset, adept at balancing risk with commercial opportunity in fast-paced, lean environments. Key Responsibilities Draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial energy agreements, including, Energy services agreements, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), Interconnection and offtake contracts, and Site control & EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) agreements. Lead legal support for project-level and corporate M&A, including due diligence, deal structuring, and definitive documentation. Support project financing, including tax‑equity and debt financing structures, coordinating with outside counsel. Manage relationships with outside counsel as required. Assist in navigating regulatory compliance, including FERC, state PUCs, district energy, and local energy codes. Partner with the General Counsel on legal operations, risk management, governance, and special projects. Why choose Addison Group?
