Manage and oversee all Capital Projects following the company’s Capital Project Guidelines. Develop and manage the annual Capital Project budget for approval by the company’s corporate Officers. Manage employee performance of 1-2 Project Managers, including annual reviews, goal setting, vacation and attendance management in Kronos, disciplinary actions, etc. Interface with and support the Quality and Care department, Process Manager, Manufacturing department, and Administrative department to resolve issues. Continuously improve safety records by addressing safety issues and attitudes. Implement manufacturing strategies and action plans to meet company goals. Coordinate with maintenance activities to support operations and growth, establishing procedures as necessary. Review all completed documents, such as SOPs, Manuals, and checklists, and act as second approver. Communicate with Process and Manufacturing Managers and technical support staff regarding production processes and equipment issues. Share information with other sites within the group and coordinate with ASPMD for project and equipment problem reports. Conduct monthly project update meetings with corporate Officers. Coordinate with Accounting for payment approvals. Supervise Projects and Engineering Department, including employee evaluations. Seek continuous improvement in work processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Maintain high ethical standards and good communication with staff and outside contacts. Ensure a clean and safe working environment. Comply with all company policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s or Professional Engineer license preferred. 15-20+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience. 10+ years of Project Management experience for projects ranging from $100k to $10MM. Experience with project scheduling, cost estimation, procurement, piping design, construction, and equipment validation. Ability to read mechanical equipment/structural drawings and P&IDs. Experience with SAP R/3 system and mechanical integrity testing, familiar with ASME codes. Experience with maintenance of rotating equipment, troubleshooting, and automatic instrumentation. Knowledge of Quality Assurance standards and ISO standards (45001, 14001, 9001). Proficiency with MS Office Suite and other office equipment. This job posting is active and not expired.
