We are seeking a general surgeon to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This position is for our elective general surgery practice with no ED call and robust APP practice & OR support. The position includes a Medical Directorship of the hospital’s ASMBS bariatric surgery position. Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a general surgeon to join our team at Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. This position is for our elective general surgery practice with no ED call and robust APP practice & OR support. The position includes a Medical Directorship of the hospital’s ASMBS bariatric surgery position.
Qualified Candidates:
Must be board certified/board eligible in general surgery Must be proficient in robotic surgery Must be proficient in bariatric surgery Possess outstanding clinical skills and robotic skills a plus New Hampshire licensure or ability to obtain Must have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, physicians and administration

220-bed acute care facility with a Level II Trauma Center Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with hospital-based rapid follow-up Stroke Clinic 24/7 full-service ER 2 freestanding ERs 24/7 dedicated inpatient hospitalist program 24/7 dedicated inpatient intensivist program Internal medicine, family medicine and psychiatry residency programs with Tufts University Affiliation 30-bed inpatient psychiatric unit including 16 involuntary beds
