Overview
Join an established, growing multidisciplinary team in the AASM-accredited sleep center. Evaluate and treat behavioral sleep concerns such as insomnia, nightmares, circadian rhythm disorders, parasomnias, and sleep quality issues. Collaboration with medical and behavioral health teams is encouraged. Consultation / Liaison:
Provide psychological consults and brief interventions for youth admitted to medical floors. Expand services for concerns like pain management, medical trauma, adjustment to illness/injury, and adherence to medical recommendations. Engage in teaching, support, and trauma-informed care initiatives. Cardiology:
Build an integrated service within the Cardiology Division, providing care for youth and adults with cardiac conditions across inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings, collaborating with a large multidisciplinary team. Oncology:
Join an established Pediatric Oncology service, collaborating with a large team to evaluate and treat patients with cancer or BMT diagnoses across inpatient, outpatient, and multidisciplinary clinics. Nephrology:
Provide collaborative care for youth with kidney conditions, including dialysis and post-transplant patients, addressing concerns like adherence, coping, and quality of life. Feeding Disorders Program:
Join an interdisciplinary team to evaluate and treat children with feeding difficulties, including ARFID and PFD, with opportunities for program development and research. Engagement in program development, quality improvement, and research is supported through protected time, collaboration with the Research Institute, and funding for conference presentations. Partnerships with local universities facilitate clinical research, mentorship, and education. Training and supervision opportunities include externships, a Pediatric Psychology Internship Program, and a Pediatric Psychology Fellowship. Psychologists collaborate with pediatric residents and fellows, and opportunities to teach medical students are available. Support for developing supervisory and teaching skills is provided. Requirements include a doctorate (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in clinical, counseling, or educational psychology from an APA-accredited program, completion of an APA-accredited internship (child or pediatric emphasis preferred), licensure eligibility in Ohio, and a strong interest in evidence-based pediatric psychology. This position qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness as a 501(c)(3) site.
