Python About the Role As a Lead Software Engineer at one of the worlds most prestigious and innovation-driven hedge funds, you will own the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical trading platforms. Youll oversee engineering teams working alongside quantitative researchers and portfolio managers on high-impact projects, designing and building trading platforms that directly influence the firms profit centers. What Youll Do Lead & Mentor:
Manage, coach, and grow a team of software engineers, fostering best practices in code quality, architecture, testing, and deployment. Architectural Oversight:
Define the technical vision and roadmap for high-performance trading infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with trading, quant, and data teams to translate strategic objectives into robust software solutions and deliver on business goals. Hands-On Development:
Contribute code and conduct architecture/design reviews, helping to solve complex problems in Python. Project Ownership:
Drive end-to-end deliveryprioritize features, manage roadmaps, and remove blockers to ensure timely releases. Process & Culture:
Champion agile methodologies and continuous improvement; establish metrics, best practices, and processes that raise the bar for software delivery. Who You Are Proven Leader:
7+ years of hands-on software engineering, with at least 23 years in a leadership or management capacity. Technical Excellence:
Deep expertise in Python; solid command of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and low-latency architectures. Domain Knowledge:
Prior experience in finance, trading, or other data-intensive environments, with an understanding of the commercial impact of your work. Educational Foundation:
Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field (GPA 3.7+ preferred). Communication & Influence:
Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Results-Oriented:
Strong product mindset with a track record of delivering high-impact software under tight deadlines. Seniority level
