hands-on QA VP Lead
to work a leading Asian Investment Bank with a strong background in automation, test frameworks, and post-trade systems within capital markets. This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in agile environments and is passionate about driving quality in complex financial systems. Compensation:
Up to $195,000 base + 20–25% bonus Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python or Java Collaborate closely with development teams to review stories, vet requirements, and estimate automation efforts Write and manage complex SQL queries for data validation Lead test planning, scripting, and execution across back-office and trade flow systems Conduct impact assessments and manage risk identification/reporting Participate in CI/CD pipeline improvements and test execution/reporting What We're Looking For: 5–7 years of experience in test automation and/or software development (Python or Java) Proven experience with automation frameworks for backend, frontend, and API testing Strong SQL skills and experience with large, complex data sets Familiarity with Xray or other test management tools Experience working in agile/scrum teams and delivering quality software fast Solid knowledge of post-trade flows in fixed income and derivatives Nice to Have: Experience with test automation for data lineage in capital markets Prior background in QE/SDET roles Seniority level
