Quality Assurance Inspector (Level I or Level II) Location:
Monrovia, CA or Arcadia, CA Shifts Available:
1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay Range:
Level I: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
Level II: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour Compensation based on experience, skill set, and performance on assessment during the interview process.
Job Summary: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector (Level I or II) to support our quality team in ensuring that all machined parts meet strict standards. This role works under the direct supervision of the QA Inspection Supervisor and Lead Inspector, and supports both critical and non-critical part inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: Receiving Inspection
Inspect incoming finished goods, hardware, and parts from outside vendors
Verify documentation and compliance with purchase order requirements
In-Process Inspection
Perform inspections during production from first article through final stages
Audit production jobs and verify WIP processes
Support SPC and document inspection findings
Final Inspection
Verify completion of all operations on job travelers
Perform dimensional and visual inspection against blueprints and PO specs
Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and other required documentation
Verify part marking and ensure accurate packaging
Other Duties
Utilize software tools including JobBoss, Docuware, PC-DMIS, and Microsoft Office (a plus)
Support additional tasks as needed Qualifications: Level I Requirements (0-2 years exp.)
Basic shop math and blueprint reading
Experience with micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators
Strong attention to detail in documentation and inspection procedures
Machine shop experience (plastic/metallic) preferred
Level II Requirements (3-5 years exp.)
Strong working knowledge of ISO9001/AS9100 preferred
Proficient in GD&T, geometric/trig. calculations, and measurement conversions
Experience with CMMs, Keyence, Micro-Vu, and Romer Arm inspection equipment
Familiar with calibration and tool recall procedures Physical Requirements:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Capable of standing or sitting for prolonged periods
Able to lift/move 10-25 lbs (with assistance for heavier objects)
Must pass an annual eye exam: Near Vision 20/25 or better (corrected or uncorrected) and color vision
