Position: Quality Control Manager
Direct Reports: QC Specialist (3)
Reports To: VP of Risk Management
Salary Range: $120k to $140k DOE
Bonus: 15%

Job Responsibilities: The QC Manager will be responsible for traveling to various job sites, inspecting work in progress and completed by employees and contractors, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and company policies. The Quality Control Manager will play a critical role in identifying areas for improvement, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding company’s commitment to excellence.
Travel to various job sites to conduct thorough inspections of fire protection and security installations, ensuring that work is performed to corporate and industry standards.
Evaluate workmanship, processes, materials, and system installations for compliance with fire protection and security regulations, project specifications, and safety standards.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and national codes, including NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards and applicable safety guidelines.
Evaluate job site losses and trends resulting from installation and services to identify areas of focus.
Provide detailed reports on inspection findings, including areas of non-compliance, corrective actions needed, and quality performance metrics.
Collaborate with project managers and field teams to develop corrective action plans for any deficiencies and promote a culture of continuous quality improvement.
Create and implement the training program, as well as provide direct training during job site visits when workmanship issues are observed.
Work closely with customers to address quality concerns, ensuring their satisfaction and confidence in the safety and reliability of our installations.
Create and maintain Quality Control Plan to consistently reflect corporate, industry and general construction standards.
Inspect subcontractor work as required, ensuring that materials and services meet corporate quality requirements.
Uphold and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, ensuring that all work performed adheres to the highest standards.
Requirements:
BS or AS degree in Quality, Construction Management, Engineering, or closely related degree preferred. Certifications in Quality Control or Construction Management also considered.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in Quality Control, Fire Life Safety Systems, Construction, or a directly related industry required.
Strong understanding of fire protection systems, security installations, and relevant codes and regulations required.
Exceptional attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel regularly to job sites throughout the USA.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
OSHA 30 & NICET Certifications a major plus.
