The Reynolds School District seeks a certified
Art Teacher
to teach engaging electives that build innovative 2D and 3D art and design skills, preparing students for college and career pathways in the arts.
Qualifications: Valid PA Art Certification K-12
Strong knowledge of 2D/3D techniques (drawing, painting, sculpture, mixed media)
Experience designing art curriculum aligned to post-secondary readiness
Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging instruction in 2D and 3D visual art techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media.
Develop and teach electives aligned to college and career-ready art pathways, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and portfolio development.
Integrate emerging technologies and tools such as Wacom Cintiq tablets and Procreate software into the art curriculum.
Guide students in preparing competitive portfolios for art school and post-secondary careers and programs.
Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to support a comprehensive, student-centered learning environment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Wacom Cintiq and Procreate in a classroom setting.
Background in digital design, animation, or multimedia art.
Strong portfolio of student work reflecting high-quality outcomes in innovative and traditional art forms.
Knowledge of post-secondary visual arts pathways, including college application and portfolio review processes.
