At Thermo Fisher Scientific High Point we develop and produce Softgel based medicine for patients all over the world. How will you make an impact? The Analytical Research and Development Technician will work in a GMP laboratory supporting the development or transfer of analytical methods. Responsibilities include routine lab related activities such as preparing mobile phase and diluent solutions, entering sample information to tracking software, preventive maintenance of equipment and daily equipment calibrations. What will you do? Perform physical and chemical evaluation of finished product, process intermediates, and stability samples. Document actions appropriately according to GMP/GLP guidelines. Prepare Test Summary Reports Ensure that samples arriving for testing are logged to tracking software. Maintains and ensures safe laboratory environment and work practices according to SOPs Perform laboratory and equipment cleaning, preventive maintenance, and calibration Other assigned duties could include sample logging, reagent preparations, and assisting with shipment preparations Education
High School diploma or equivalent work experience required. Experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read and understand EP and USP Laboratory documentation, reports, and correspondence Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Electronic organizational skills using Microsoft Excel or other planning tools. Ability to communicate and work in a high pressure/high paced environment. Ability to multi-task and function effectively as a member of a team.
