You will be the RF Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for partnering with Production Operations leads to support RF hardware development and RFS Product Center initiatives. Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality RF products, and we're looking for a highly skilled and collaborative individual to join our team. As the RF Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that new designs are producible and cost-competitive in a full-rate manufacturing environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Design Engineering, Quality Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Finance, Production Planning and Control, Contracts, Master Planning, and Program Management, to ensure successful completion of major milestones. Your responsibilities will include developing manufacturing readiness assessments, creating manufacturing plans, conducting make-or-buy analyses, and presenting at design and manufacturing reviews. Responsibilities include: partnering with Production Operations leads to support RF hardware development and RFS Product Center initiatives; ensuring new designs are producible and cost-competitive in a full-rate manufacturing environment; evaluating designs and providing manufacturing feedback to lead to affordable and manufacturable designs; collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful completion of major milestones; developing manufacturing readiness assessments and creating manufacturing plans; conducting make-or-buy analyses and presenting at design and manufacturing reviews; traveling to various manufacturing facilities, including suppliers and other Lockheed sites, to support testing and hardware or tooling-related issues. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline, a broad base of knowledge regarding electronic, electromechanical, and mechanical production, experience with product manufacturability, producibility, and design for cost, ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including to non-technical personnel, excellent written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence, ability to obtain a "Secret" security clearance; an Interim Secret clearance is required prior to starting the role. Desired Skills: experience with system level acceptance and checkout, experience with SMT automation mfg and chip and wire mfg, understanding with electronic system level testing and engineering, experience with the design and manufacturing of RF hardware, experience with RF microelectronics manufacturing, experience with RF Sensor test and calibration, related professional level career experience in production operations, Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification, experience in program development with emphasis on cross-functional collaboration and leadership, experience in capacity & capital planning, understanding and wide application of assembly and test methods, first unit flow planning & execution, statement of work and proposal development experience, experience with Make-Buy generation and strategy, experience in the design of manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, machining and material handling, Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) knowledge/experience.
