Position Summary:
Trios Health is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) for daytime shifts. The NICU RN provides specialized care to critically ill and premature newborns, working closely with neonatologists and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver expert nursing care to neonates requiring intensive monitoring and treatment
Administer medications, manage ventilators, and perform advanced clinical procedures
Monitor vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists
Support and educate families throughout the neonatal care process
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record
Adhere to hospital policies, infection control standards, and NICU protocols
Qualifications:
Active RN license in Washington or compact state eligibility
Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a Level II or III NICU
Current BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS preferred) Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in high-stress, emotionally sensitive environments
Schedule:
Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
