American Traveler is seeking a skilled RN First Assist (RNFA) with at least three years of operating room experience for a diverse surgical schedule in New Jersey.Job Details•Hospital-based position in the Operating Room as RNFA,•Surgical cases include Bariatrics, Endo/Lap, General, GYN, Robotics, Thoracic, and Urology specialties,•Equipment used includes Colorectal Robotic, Da Vinci SP, Da Vinci XI, GI Robotics, GYN Robotics, and VATS,•Day shift schedule (5x8 hours), 11:00 to 19:30,•Weekend shifts are on-call only,•Floating within the RN skillset is required,•Uses Epic for charting,•Scrub attire is provided,Job Requirements•Active RN license in NJ or Compact state required at time of consideration,•BLS certification required,•CNOR certification preferred,•Minimum three years of operating room nursing experience,•Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries highly preferred,•Must complete Epic EMR training prior to start,•Background and license must be clear of open or active issues,•References required for consideration,•Former RWJBH staff must have a one-year gap before eligibility,Additional Information•Primary responsibilities include first assisting surgeons in a range of complex procedures using advanced robotic systems,•Holiday shifts scheduled based on unit needs,•All education and orientation modules must be completed before start and annually,•Team support includes orientation and compliance guidance,•First-time travelers will be considered, though prior travel experience is highly preferred,•Local candidates accepted at the same rate,•Return-to-work policy applies for previous system employees,•Candidates must adhere to agreed schedule as changes after assignment starts are not accommodated
