Position Summary

We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Manager to lead our Labor and Delivery department at a top Seattle hospital. This role involves overseeing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care, optimizing department operations, and supporting quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for maternal and newborn health.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and manage labor and delivery nurses and staff. Patient Care: Ensure excellent, family-centered care for patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum. Operations: Oversee daily department operations, including staffing, budgeting, and workflow efficiency. Quality & Compliance: Lead quality improvement efforts and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices. Collaboration: Work closely with medical staff, administration, and other departments to improve patient care.

Qualifications

Education: BSN required; or ADN and a commitment to obtain a BSN in 2yrs from hire Licenses/Certifications: Obtain a RN license in Washington upon hire Experience: At least 4 years in labor and delivery, with 2+ years in a leadership role. Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
