The CT Technologist, under direct supervision, uses Siemens computerized tomography scanners to produce cross-section images of patient's internal organs and tissues for diagnosis of medical issues.Summary of Essential Duties: Accurately interpret a physician's scanning instructions Administer contrast material Prepare and operate CT scan equipment Ability to position patient to capture appropriate images Send images to Radiologist for interpretation/reading Cleans and disinfects patient rooms Follow infection control and safety guidelinesQualificationsEducation:Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology program requiredLicense/Certifications:American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Radiologist certification (ARRT-R) requiredCalifornia Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification requiredBasic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association requiredAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists CT certification (ARRT-CT) preferred or willing to obtain within one year from start dateVenipuncture certification requiredExperience:A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CT Scan Technologist preferredAt least 6 months of experience with Siemens brand scanners preferredKeywords: Computed Tomography, CT, Tech, Technician, Technologist, Per Diem, Per-Diem, Imaging, Radiology, Healthcare, Hospital, Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA, CaliforniaAbout UsCedars-Sinai is a leader in providing high-quality healthcare encompassing primary care, specialized medicine and research.
