Reliability Engineer – Instrumentation
to support maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and drive long-term equipment reliability and safety. Key Responsibilities: Lead instrumentation reliability initiatives to increase MTBF and extend equipment run-times Support Mechanical Integrity compliance: inspections, testing plans, budgeting & repair recommendations Utilize SAP, GE APM, Pareto & cost analysis tools for failure evaluation Develop PRFs with financial justification for upgrades and capital project support Participate in turnaround planning and execution, root cause analysis, safety audits, and MOC management Collaborate across disciplines and with vendors to champion improvements Qualifications: BS in Engineering (required by start date) 3+ years in refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial maintenance/engineering Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong written and verbal communication Must meet site physical, PPE, and safety requirements Valid U.S. work authorization, driver’s license, and ability to obtain TWIC Preferred: 4+ years experience in Instrumentation Engineering Knowledge of SIS, ISA/NFPA/API standards, and Intergraph Smart Instrumentation Familiarity with vendor tools (e.g., Emerson, GE Baker Hughes, Vega) Local candidates preferred.
