Our operations experts located across the globe in our Control Towers provide services around Supplier and Order Management, Transport Planning and Monitoring, as well as managing performance and freight cost. Based in one of the CEVA Lead Logistics’ regional Control Towers in North America and reporting to the regional Head of Ceva Lead Logistics, the Regional Business Development Manager will lead the identification and development of new business within the scope of all CLL services This role is accountable for managing and leading CLL product alignment across sales and account management functions within CEVA, ensuring a OneCEVA approach to customer engagement. WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? Conduct regular in-depth market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and potential business opportunities. Develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand current customer base. Develop & Manage Business development plan in line with 4PL strategy to achieve targeted revenue and growth. Prospecting for all pre-sales opportunities and delivering compelling solutions, value and pricing by working with Global BD, IT & SD teams Lead negotiations with clients to secure new contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that meet both client expectations and company objectives. Accompany new customer projects through all stages of the pre-contracting engagement cycle until final signature of customer contract Establish Sales leads via 4 main channels (Existing customers, Global BD, Regional BD and CLL sourced) to build contacts and target accounts within a targeted industry Ensure that business leads and opportunities are correctly captured and followed up in CEVA sales / CRM tools; deliver periodical reporting on opportunities and initiatives as required. Contribute to the development and implementation of customer account roadmaps in cooperation with CLL regional heads, contract management and business development. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement business development plans that align with the company’s growth strategy. Track performance metrics and adjust strategies as needed to achieve targets Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a deep understanding of their logistics and supply chain needs. Act as a trusted advisor to deliver tailored solutions that align with their business objectives and supply chain transformation strategy Keep up to date with market trends in the field of 4PL / Lead Logistics as well as 3PL / Forwarding Industry. Get a broad understanding on industry trends in targeted key sectors and in the local region. Exchange and share market knowledge with peers in the CEVA organization and within CLL Teams. Deliver value add to customers by providing regular updates on market insights and trends Support CLL account managers, Control Tower Managers and SD / Project teams on the extension of existing customer contracts and / or extension of scope WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR? University degree in Business Administration or Marketing, or related secondary degree with comparable level of experience Min 5+ years of working experience in a comparable role (Business development or Sales background in Logistics or Supply Chain) 5+ years of practical expertise in the supply chain and transportation industry, with in-depth knowledge of at least 2 areas / modes of transportation (Air, Ocean, Ground operations, Warehousing) Knowledge of Customer engagement process, from pre-sale pitch call preparation to RFQ, contract negotiation and implementation Solid end user knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel, Power Point) Strong Financial knowledge (e.g. revenue, cost and profit analysis) Capacity in translating potential customers mid-long-range strategy into business opportunity Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to connect with and adapt communication to stakeholders of all levels, from operational end users to senior management Strong willingness to take initiative and inspire, motivate and influence individuals and teams to achieve the desired results Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory Open to work in a multi-cultural and multi-lingual team, willingness to travel up to 50% of working tim WHAT DO WE HAVE TO OFFER?
