Ikonika , we specialize in restoring and modernizing control systems—transforming outdated infrastructure into reliable, connected systems built for the future of manufacturing. From our Fife, WA headquarters, our in-house team handles every step of the process: system design, panel fabrication, programming, commissioning, and long-term support. We focus on process manufacturing—whether on land or at sea—where reliability is non-negotiable, and performance under pressure is critical. About the Role This position is ideal for controls engineers who thrive on variety, hands-on problem-solving, and real-world challenges. One day, you might be deep into design work; the next, you're untangling an undocumented production line that’s gone offline. You'll be working alongside a skilled, committed team that takes pride in doing the job right—down to every rung, wire, and line of code. What You’ll Do Lead and contribute to the technical direction of projects alongside other senior engineers Design and update control systems: system architecture, networks, PLCs, HMIs, schematics, and panel layouts Develop and debug PLC and HMI programs Implement migrations using Ikonika’s proprietary

process Diagnose and resolve control system issues, both on-site and remotely Guide panel design and oversee drafting/build processes Travel to customer sites (~1 week/month) What You Bring Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and software systems Proficiency in both modern and legacy PLC/HMI platforms Familiarity with industrial control networks and OT infrastructure A collaborative mindset with a desire to learn and grow Willingness to travel and adapt to on-site demands Alignment with
Ikonika’s values and culture Bonus If You Have: A degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S. or M.S.) Certifications (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, networking/security) Experience in process manufacturing environments Hands-on experience with control system migrations Comfort in customer-facing technical roles, including fieldwork A valid driver’s license Your Schedule Our work follows the rhythm of our customers—when their systems are offline, we’re on.
