Overview As part of the leadership team, this role involves developing and implementing various institutional strategic, tactical, communication, and other plans, projects, and initiatives. The position is responsible for directing the activities of the ERP Support team, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality services, and providing professional development opportunities for team growth. It offers strategic visioning and solutions for the organization’s ERP support efforts, including ERP operation, administration, integration, state reporting, audits, and information security. Must be extremely familiar with Ellucian Banner, capable of contributing technically or mentoring team members in a highly technical capacity. Responsibilities Lead ERP Technology initiatives that design, simplify, enhance, and support ERP solutions. Coordinate all IT responsibilities related to ERP integrations with third-party on-premises or cloud solutions. Collaborate with other IT Service Leaders to define, deliver, and support university technology goals. Ensure the successful execution of projects, strategies, roadmaps, and service restoration related to ERP Technology Services. Design, implement, and support end-to-end analytical solutions that are highly available, scalable, stable, secure, and cost-effective. Develop conceptual architecture considering data flow among current and future systems. Work with business partners to understand requirements, OKRs, and processes to drive strategic application efforts. Assess new technologies and participate in procurement processes in collaboration with business partners. Manage professional service engagements, resource hours, and project budgets. Establish and administer policies and goals for Information Technology, including staff and student training. Promote the university through speaking engagements and community involvement. Qualifications 7+ years of relevant experience. ITIL Certification is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or a related field preferred. Deep knowledge of higher education Ellucian Banner ERP systems required ; preferably Finance and Student modules. Must be extremely familiar with Banner, capable of technical contribution or mentoring team members. Strategic planning skills. Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL. Experience with Argos or PowerBI. Knowledge of Banner Workflow and Ellucian Workflow. Familiarity with eVisions, Blackboard/Banner interfacing, DegreeWorks, Slate. Understanding of SDLC. Experience with Smart sheets or ServiceNow for project tracking. System integration experience (e.g., Snaplogic, Boomi, Mulesoft). Ability to automate complex systems and procedures. Strong interdisciplinary knowledge. Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and business audiences. IT project management experience. Local to Houston area, willing to work onsite (potentially hybrid). Eligible to work for any U.S. employer without sponsorship. #J-18808-Ljbffr
