SUMMARY OF THE POSITION The ROC Manager oversees the real-time operations of Geronimo Power's portfolio of wind, solar, and battery storage assets across the US. The role involves coordinating with site personnel, ISO/RTOs, utilities, and other stakeholders to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the renewable facilities. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING Real-Time Operations Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to a team of Remote Operations Center (ROC) Operators in a 24/7 operations center located in Bloomington, MN. Responsible for remote monitoring and operation of the Grid Renewable fleet of Wind, Solar, and Energy Storage assets. Maintain the 24/7 shift schedule and manage daily real-time obligations of the ROC. Manage performance, employee development, and training. Lead the operation and development of the ROC, incorporating lessons learned, best practices, technology, and feedback. Establish and maintain relationships with plant and support employees at all levels. Manage and adhere to the ROC budget. Manage the Real-Time process and ensure ROC physical security & NERC CIP compliance. Develop and implement KPI for the ROC team. Own and manage real-time dashboards and visualizations (Monarch SCADA). Ensure compliance with all NERC O&P and CIP standards, market-specific standards (ERCOT, SPP, etc.), and other regulatory bodies. Promote a culture of adherence to procedures and compliance. Handle special projects as assigned to the ROC Supervisor. Perform other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business-related field. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Well-organized, detail-oriented, analytical mindset. Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Proven interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to produce business cases for financial investments, technology upgrades, etc. Strategic and tactical thinking skills. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience Minimum of 5 years in power or transmission-related roles. 3-5 years of management/leadership experience. Knowledge of power plant operations & maintenance. Experience with renewable energy, specifically wind, solar, and battery energy storage. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Working knowledge of Aspen OSI Monarch SCADA, AVEVA PI, Power BI, and other SCADA systems. Experience with plant operations, alarm management, curtailment, voltage control, outage notifications, and emergency procedures. Knowledge of PPA, GIA, NERC standards, and compliance requirements. Experience drafting regulatory and policy documents. Additional Requirements/Details: Willing to work twelve-hour rotating shifts covering weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Occasional extra shifts for coverage needs. Willingness to obtain NERC Operator Certification or other relevant certifications. Pay Range: Minimum of $140,000 to $180,000.
