Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, it serves 200 women, including many with mental health and substance abuse challenges. Position: Engagement Coordinator

1245 Broadway, Brooklyn, NY 11221 Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations and supervise social services staff. Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and funders. Provide culturally appropriate direct interventions. Support the shelter team with non-direct interventions. Supervise staff such as Recreation Coordinator, Adult Literacy Specialist, Peer Counselors, and Employment Specialist. Implement trauma-informed care, de-escalation, and motivational interviewing techniques. Track incidents, assist with crisis management, and educate staff. Develop workshop curricula for various programming components. Build community resources to support housing and engagement efforts. Minimum Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree (e.g., B.A., B.S.W.) and two years of applicable experience; Master’s degree preferred. Licensing required for some degrees (e.g., LMSW, LCSW). Additional Requirements:
May require First Aid/CPR certification. May require overdose prevention certification. Must obtain CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within 90 days. Must obtain NYS Peer Specialist Certification within 90 days. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $51,500 - $56,650 annually. Benefits include health and dental insurance, 403(b) retirement plan with employer match, paid time off, and holidays. Employment Details:
