Are you an experienced Respiratory Therapist with a passion for neonatal and critical care? Join our dedicated team in Lake Worth Beach, FL, where you'll work in a high-acuity NICU environment providing life-sustaining respiratory care to our most vulnerable patients-newborns and premature infants.
Position Overview As a NICU Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care to neonates in a Level III or higher NICU setting. You'll collaborate closely with neonatologists, nurses, and other pediatric specialists during the night shift to support optimal outcomes for critically ill infants.
Key Responsibilities
Administer neonatal respiratory therapy, including CPAP, mechanical ventilation, surfactant administration, and aerosolized medications
Perform arterial blood gas sampling and interpretation
Monitor respiratory function and adjust ventilator settings based on clinical assessment
Maintain and operate neonatal respiratory equipment in accordance with hospital protocols
Respond to neonatal codes and assist with intubation and advanced airway management
Document therapy sessions, changes in patient condition, and progress toward care goals
Collaborate with the NICU care team to ensure individualized, family-centered care plans

Job Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
Required Credentials
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC and valid Colorado RCP license (or eligibility)
Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree)
Current BLS certification; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred or to be obtained shortly after hire
Experience
Minimum 6 months clinical RT experience preferred (hospital setting encouraged) New graduates with strong clinical skills are welcome to apply
