Position Overview
As we pioneer this new experience, we're in search of an enthusiastic
Director of Membership
to join our dynamic team and lead the charge in establishing an exclusive, high-end membership model at Hamlin House. If you're a seasoned hospitality professional who loves to build relationships and curating and growing an elite, diverse membership community, this is the role for you. This is your opportunity to shape the Hamlin House community.
Duties And Responsibilities
Develop and implement a premium membership program that aligns with the brand’s vision and values. Work closely with leadership to ensure the membership experience aligns with the club’s overall operational excellence.
Membership Acquisition & Community Building
Lead the initial buildout of the membership community by identifying, recruiting, and onboarding high caliber founding members. Design and execute outreach strategies to attract individuals who align with Hamlin House’s values, ethos, and lifestyle. Act as the face of Hamlin House at key events, private gatherings, and within elite social circles to generate awareness and excitement around membership. Design and execute member-exclusive events, networking opportunities, and curated experiences to enhance engagement and retention.
Member Experience & Relationship Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for all members, offering white-glove service and ensuring each interaction reflects the club’s premium positioning. Build meaningful, long-term relationships with members—anticipating their needs, personalizing their experiences, and ensuring their continued satisfaction. Champion a culture of “surprise and delight” through thoughtful gestures, VIP touches, and curated interactions that elevate the member experience.
Marketing & Brand Alignment
Collaborate with marketing and hospitality teams to develop creative campaigns that promote membership benefits and drive interest. Maintain a consistent and compelling brand voice across all member communications, including email, printed materials, digital platforms, and in-person interactions. Manage and maintain the membership database with precision, ensuring data integrity, responsiveness, and seamless service. Provide leadership with regular reporting and insights related to membership acquisition, retention, and engagement
Qualifications And Experience
Proven experience in hospitality, membership sales, private club management, or a related field. Strong background in relationship-building, networking, and community engagement. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with diverse audiences. Strategic thinker with a track record of developing and executing successful membership initiatives. Experience curating high-end events and exclusive member experiences. Understanding of luxury service standards and the ability to deliver an elevated experience. Proficiency in CRM and membership management systems. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment. Passion for pickleball, sports culture, and the social experience surrounding them is a plus.
