Enrollment and Retention Management Collaborate with Enrollment Management personnel to assist prospective students with their inquiries and advising. Oversee the transition process for new students, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, which includes planning events for new student orientations. Evaluate transcripts and determine course equivalencies. Provide guidance to transfer students regarding the requirements for degree completion. Manage department permission codes. Lead retention efforts for current SBM students in your program portfolio using tools such as Dialpad and email campaigns.
Administrative Management Oversee SBM Administrative Role Accounts, including petitions, graduation clearances, probations, and permission codes under the administrator's supervision.
One Day Admissions Management Support the SBM for One Day Admissions Events, coordinating efforts including but not limited to: Develops and updates recruitment slides and materials. Prepares swag. Coordinate faculty to support the event as needed. May present on behalf of the SBM as needed.
SBM Event Support Support special events for the department as requested.
Other Responsibilities Gather information; create reports and statistical information on the state of the department as needed. Cover the front desk in the Dean's Suite as needed. Responsible for daily electronic timekeeping as it applies to the scope of this position. Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Skills Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage details and follow through. Ability to conduct business at other offices on campus. Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including strong proofreading and editing skills. Self-starter, highly motivated with strong organizational skills. Ability to manage details, assess priorities, meet deadlines, and provide follow-through. Great customer service skills; ability to interact professionally and effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds; demonstrates a genuine commitment to serve. Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information. Ability to learn and balance a variety of assignments in a multi-program department; able to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel, and type 55 wpm; working in Access is a plus. Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Collaborator and a commitment to a team-based approach. Mental Demands Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion. Ability to multitask, successfully work under pressure, with distractions, and meet deadlines. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Interface effectively with faculty, staff, and students. Physical Demands Requires repetitive motion and sitting at computer keyboard. Hearing and speaking on the telephone. Meetings may require walking and/or driving to various University locations. Ability to pull, push, bend, grasp, reach and lift up to 20 lbs. Must be able to climb stairs multiple times in a workday. Visual Demands Reading, writing notes, and computer monitor. Environment Pleasant office, comfortable temperature. Technologies Proficient in PeopleSoft and other APU systems, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Google Applications. Compensation Grade 7: $19.49 to $22.41 is the hourly compensation for this role and reflects what Azusa Pacific University reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual compensation may vary based on the qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition to compensation, APU offers a competitive benefits package.
