Job Description Job Title: RRT Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: NICU/PICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience License: Registered Respiratory Therapist Certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role: BLS NRP PALS 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience
Description: Unit staffing includes a Director, Manager, and one Supervisor/charge therapist per shift, along with regular staff. Types of equipment utilized include High Flow Devices, 3100A, Bunnell, Servo s, continuous nebulizers, Nitric Oxide, Heliox, and regular nebulizers. The documentation system in use is Meditech. Floating policy allows coverage for regular adult floors for nebulizer therapy, BIPAP, CPT, etc. Advanced skills needed include current NICU/PICU experience. Respiratory Therapists are responsible for the treatment, care, and evaluation of patients with respiratory diseases. This is done through the utilization of advanced technologies and medication delivery. The ideal candidate will be a team player and critical thinker with a patient care focus. Candidates should be adaptable to change and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. A multidisciplinary approach to patient care is essential. Dress code requires light gray uniforms. Awards and recognitions for the department highlight outstanding team performance. This facility is a tertiary care and teaching facility with advanced trauma and stroke center capabilities.
