Job Title: Certified Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
Location: Schertz-Cibolo, TX
School Year: 25-26
Job Summary:
Connected Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to work within the Schertz-Cibolo area for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, treating, and helping to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in students from preschool through high school. The CCC-SLP will work collaboratively with educators, parents, and other professionals to support students' communication needs and enhance their educational experience.
Key Responsibilities: Assessment and Diagnosis:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders. Utilize standardized assessment tools and techniques to determine students' speech and language needs. Intervention and Treatment:
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students' specific needs. Provide direct therapy services to students, utilizing evidence-based practices. Monitor students' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaboration and Consultation:
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to create supportive educational environments. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals and objectives. Provide training and support to educators and parents regarding speech and language development and strategies to support students. Documentation and Compliance:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district regulations and policies related to speech and language services. Professional Development:
Stay current with research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Supervise and mentor Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) and interns as needed.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Valid Texas state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Experience working in a school setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of IDEA, IEP development, and relevant educational laws and regulations. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population and a multidisciplinary team. Work Schedule and Compensation:
Full-time position for the 2024-2025 school year. Standard school hours, with some flexibility for meetings and professional development. Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
