Job Description

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer to join our clients team in Warren, NJ. The ideal candidate will have at least 9 years of professional experience in ETL development with strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server, SSIS, and data warehousing. This role requires leadership capabilities, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of developers responsible for ETL processes, data pipelines, and data warehouse operations.

Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views.

Build and manage data workflows for ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and migration using SSIS and T-SQL.

Maintain and administer Microsoft SQL Server 2019 or newer, including database design and performance tuning.

Troubleshoot and enhance T-SQL statements, stored procedures, and other database components.

Apply advanced understanding of data modeling, including normalized, de-normalized, star, and snowflake schemas.

Drive performance optimization for large-scale data queries and ETL jobs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze technical issues and recommend effective solutions.

Ensure timely resolution of issues while communicating status and risks with stakeholders.

Leverage Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines for code deployment and process automation.

Work with data formats such as JSON and XML within SSIS scripting and transformations.

Maintain a deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.

Required Qualifications

9+ years of professional experience in ETL development and database management.

Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server (2019 and above) and SSIS.

Proficiency in T-SQL, including writing and troubleshooting complex queries.

Hands-on experience with data modeling and data warehouse design.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD deployment practices.

Experience with structured and semi-structured data formats (e.g., JSON, XML

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Ability to adapt in a high-paced, rapidly changing environment.
