Role: SQL Developer Mid-Level Location : Atlanta GA , Birmingham AL or Charlotte NC as preference with a hybrid schedule. Duration: 12- month contract We are in need of a Software Engineer III who oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. Primary Responsibilities Oversees development and installation of new hardware and software Installs and configures systems and other software Tests installed software for malfunction detection Identifies and resolves business systems issues Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems Develops and implements strategies to improve systems Monitors and tests system performance Typically has full ownership of a process May act as a procedural expert May lead the work of junior level associates Required Skills: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field 5+ years of SQL experience SQL Server & SSIS Experience SQL Server Databases Write and optimize T-SQL queries Develop stored procedures and functions Script schema/data changes using SSMS or Visual Studio SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Build and test ETL packages in Visual Studio Deploy projects to SQL Server Manage SSIS components: projects, packages, environments (SSISDB/config files) C# Scripting Use within SSIS Script Tasks/Components for custom logic SQL Server Agent Automate tasks with jobs (e.g., ETL, reports) Monitor and debug job execution Flat File Processing Import/export data via SSIS using CSV, TXT, etc. Preferred Skills SQL Server Database Projects (.sqlproj) in Visual Studio Schema & Data Compare tools GitHub for version control (SQL scripts, SSIS, projects) Advanced flat file handling in SSIS (formats, delimiters, error control) Seniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Information Technology Industries Software Development Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Jobs via Dice by 2x Get notified about new SQL Developer jobs in Atlanta, GA .
