What You Will Be Doing
Design and implement engaging, adaptive English language workshops that accelerate K-8 students' proficiency across listening, speaking, reading, and writing domains. Lead high-energy learning sessions that inspire students to embrace language acquisition with enthusiasm and confidence as they progress toward their linguistic goals. Monitor and assess student development to customize learning experiences and continuously refine teaching approaches based on individual progress patterns.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Falling back on conventional teaching methodologies that fail to incorporate innovative educational technologies. Implementing standardized instruction that ignores the unique learning profiles of individual students—personalization is our cornerstone. Limiting your impact to classroom teaching without contributing to the development of our expanding virtual ESL curriculum. Assigning monotonous drills that fail to capture student interest or adapt to their individual learning velocities.
ESL Program Specialist Key Responsibilities
Play a vital role in shaping and advancing Alpha's English Language Learning program, ensuring it remains innovative, effective, and transformative for our diverse student population.
Basic Requirements
Academic credentials in TESOL, Linguistics, Education, or related discipline with specialized focus on language acquisition principles. Proven track record teaching English language learners in K-8 settings, with demonstrable success improving student language outcomes. Demonstrated ability to leverage Generative AI tools for creating personalized learning experiences and scalable instructional content. Exceptional talent for student engagement, with a repertoire of motivational techniques that inspire genuine enthusiasm for language learning. Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship. Commitment to working on-site at our Austin, Texas campus.

This is a full-time (40 hours per week), long-term position.
