Corporate Controller

for a privately held professional-services company headquartered in Garland, TX. In this senior leadership role, you will steer the full accounting function, uphold GAAP compliance, and deliver forward-looking financial insight that powers strategic decision-making across the organization. In addition to holding (or actively pursuing) a CPA, the ideal candidate will bring at least three years’ experience in a controller seat - or five years leading accounting teams - deep knowledge of GAAP and ERP systems such as Sage Intacct, and a proactive approach to process improvement; if you are eager to join a dynamic company with abundant growth potential and an excellent work-life balance, apply today. Responsibilities: Champion, mentor, and elevate a high-performing accounting team while fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability. Direct every phase of the close cycle—general ledger stewardship, monthly consolidations, management reports, and preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements and audit deliverables. Design, document, and refine internal controls and accounting policies that safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance. Pair operational KPIs with financial analytics to spotlight trends, surface risks, and recommend cost-saving or revenue-generating initiatives. Partner with the CFO and ownership group on cash-flow forecasting, treasury strategy, and long-range planning. Lead system integrations and leverage the ERP (Sage Intacct preferred) to drive automation, scalability, and real-time reporting accuracy. Client Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred, while a master’s degree is a plus. Demonstrated success overseeing full close and annual audit processes in a multi-entity environment. Expert-level understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal-control frameworks. Hands-on proficiency with ERP platforms (ideally Sage Intacct) and advanced Excel/Office skills. Proven ability to distill complex financial data into clear, persuasive presentations for executives, auditors, and external partners. Qualified candidates will be contacted for an interview.
