Pain Management, Sports Medicine & More Orthopedic medicine focuses on the musculoskeletal system, which consists of bone, muscle, cartilage, tendons, ligaments, joints, and other connective tissues. Patients frequently seek out orthopedists when they are suffering from joint pains, back pain, neck pain, or bone fractures. At San Luis Valley Health, we offer a wide array of orthopedic services, including sports medicine, chiropractic, and acupuncture services.
The Position Permanent Ortho NP/PA position in Southern Colorado. Type of clinic/specialty: Orthopedic Department: Work with a team in a clinical setting with potential to provide surgical services. How many hours per week: full-time, 40 hrs per week Will you consider New Graduates: No, 2 years of Ortho or Sports Medicine NP/PA experience required Whom else will the provider be working with? 2 Ortho Surgeons, 2 APPs Support Staff: MA What are the typical work hours: Mon-Friday 8a-5p No Call, No Weekends How many patients per day: Average 18-20 See all ages EMR system: Meditech Expanse CO state license and CSR required (may consider pending license for right provider) DEA will be required BLS certification required BC required Injuries we treat include: Traumatic injuries to bones, such as fractures and dislocations Disturbances in joints Sports injuries Inflammation of muscles or connective tissue Arthroscopic surgery Joint replacement surgery Non-surgical treatment options for arthritis
