How you will make contributions that matter...
The Sr. Packaging Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring Saputo's packaging operations are executed seamlessly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory and brand standards. In this role, you will lead cross-functional coordination and serve as a subject matter expert in packaging strategy, compliance, and execution across all Saputo plants. Lead coordination efforts among internal teams (R&D, Marketing, Regulatory, QA, Operations) and external partners (printers, suppliers, customers) to ensure smooth packaging execution. Oversee packaging compliance strategy, reviewing nutrition labeling, imagery, and claims to ensure alignment with FDA, USDA, third-party certifications (e.g., Non-GMO Project, Organic), and internal policies. Analyze packaging processes and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste. Manage multiple high-priority packaging projects from concept through execution, ensuring timelines and budgets are met. Monitor regulatory changes, industry trends, and technical innovations to guide packaging strategy and maintain compliance and competitiveness. Coordinate production and procurement activities related to packaging changes, ensuring timely implementation, cost efficiency, and quality alignment. Mentor junior packaging team members and serve as a key resource and backup for critical packaging functions across the organization. Oversee design, development, and optimization of packaging for new and existing products, including project tracking, timetables, and cost estimates. Review and approve packaging proofs to ensure compliance with regulations, plant requirements, print guidelines, and brand standards. Manage contracts with key packaging vendors, ensuring adherence to budget and performance expectations. Support identification and implementation of cost-saving opportunities. Provide packaging support across all Saputo manufacturing plants.
You are best suited for the role if you... Have a bachelor's degree in Business Management, Packaging Design, or equivalent experience (5+ years in food industry packaging/labeling preferred). Are highly organized and detail-oriented. Have working knowledge of SAP and related add-ons (preferred). Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Are open to travel (up to 10%). This role is based in our Wauwatosa, WI office and requires regular on-site presence. Candidates must be located in the Wauwatosa, WI office.

Salary Range: $ 71,805 - $94,245
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training
