Bachelor's Degree in liberal arts, business, communications, journalism or arts/media, film/multimedia or a related field with four (4) years video production experience and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. Or an Associate's Degree in same fields with eight (8) years production experience and at least one (1) year of supervisory experience.
High degree of project management ability and creativity in video production for college marketing purposes; expertise in video production, effects, animation, audio production, photography as well as the operation and maintenance of on campus studios and equipment, execution of special events, field production.
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong organizational skills, ability to work well with faculty, staff and campus clients; and the ability to effectively manage and supervise technical staff while working within a larger marketing team.
Nature and Scope of Duties: The Associate Director of Multimedia and Video Services reports to the Director of Creative Services and performs the following duties:
•Works cooperatively with colleagues in Creative Services, Communications and Marketing, Institutional Events as well as academic departments, administrative units, faculty, students and other campus partners to support college marketing efforts and promote programs and services.
•Supervises full-time and part-time, freelance staff members in multimedia, video and photography.
•Proactively plans and leads college video productions, including promotional, commercial, online and social media videos and content, image collection and multimedia support for events to enhance awareness of college programs and services.
•Manages video production equipment and technologies as well as video production studio operations, scheduling and services.
•Develops and implements operating procedures and quality control measures for the use of equipment and services.
•Understands and effectively utilizes various transmission modalities, including web hosting and live streaming.
•Oversees the maintenance of records and archives on departmental activities, including video content, photo assets, equipment, payroll, budgeting and purchasing.
•Maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills related to the industry including best practices and compliance as well as trends and emerging technologies.
•Performs related duties as assigned.
This is a full-time 37.5 hour work week position with a salary range of $60,000-$66,000.
