Overview
As a Screw Machine Operator, you will be entrusted with operating a variety of screw machines. You will be responsible for setting up machines and utilizing gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other dimensional measuring tools. A basic understanding of tool usage for machine setup and operation is required, along with performing quality checks to ensure precision and accuracy. Responsibilities
Operate a variety of screw machines efficiently. Set up machines using appropriate tools and techniques. Utilize gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other dimensional measuring tools. Perform quality checks to ensure product specifications are met. Essential Skills
At least 3 years of experience in manually setting up CNC machines. Ability to read and interpret gauges, micrometers, and calipers. Mechanical and mathematical aptitude. Experience with blueprints and CNC Lathe operation. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Davenport or Wickman Screw machines is a plus. Why Work Here?

The work schedule includes 1st shift from 6am-4:30pm and 2nd shift from 4pm-2:30am, Monday through Friday. The environment is loud, and employees handle heavy, sharp metal materials, requiring a high level of safety consciousness. Facilities are not temperature controlled, resulting in warmer conditions during summer and cooler conditions in winter. Steel-toed boots and jeans or pants without holes are mandatory, with the option of wearing either long or short sleeve T-shirts. Safety procedures are strictly followed throughout the facility. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mundelein, Illinois. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
