Fairwater specializes in liquid energy and chemical transportation vessels, operations and related services as an independent U.S. Jones Act service provider. The organization has ownership of a highly capable fleet of 31 tankers and articulated-tug barges and will also provide ship management services to 20 vessels.

We have openings in our East Coast, Gulf, West Coast, and Alaska ATBs with the Seafarers' International Union (SIU) Masters, Mates & Pilots (MM&P) and Inlandboatmen Union (IBU) . Union membership is required upon acceptance of a permanent role within the ATB fleets.

Minimum Qualifications And Credentials MMC Basic Training VPDSD (Vessel Personnel w/Designated Security Duties) (VI/6) Required STCW Endorsements and Training Assistant Engineer Limited, Oceans Motor OICEW (Officer in Charge of an Engineering Watch) 750kw/1000HP or higher Personal Survival Craft (VI/2) Advanced Firefighting (VI/3) Lifeboatman endorsement STCW Medical Certificate - we require the STCW Expiration Date to be valid TWIC badge- Not to expire within three months Valid Passport - Not to expire within six months Preferred Qualifications & Skills Refrigeration Recovery Universal Technician Certification Hitches West Coast, Gulf, and East Coast ATBs - 28/28 Western Alaska ATBs - 45/45 Travel costs to and from your vessel and home of record are covered!
