Job Title: AI Security Engineer Project Duration: 12 months from start with potential for extension About the Role: We are seeking a forward-thinking AI Security Engineer to secure AI/ML systems and infrastructure. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and a passion for artificial intelligence. The role focuses on identifying and mitigating security risks in AI models, data pipelines, and AI-powered applications, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all systems. Key Responsibilities Design and implement security controls for AI/ML systems (training, inference, pipelines) Identify and mitigate risks such as model inversion, data poisoning, adversarial attacks, and prompt injection Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and DevOps teams to embed security into the AI/ML lifecycle Conduct threat modelling and risk assessments for AI systems and algorithms Monitor AI systems for anomalous behavior and potential misuse Secure APIs and inference endpoints for safe model access Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) Define and enforce AI security standards, policies, and best practices Stay current with emerging threats, tools, and AI/ML security research Required Qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Machine Learning, or a related field Minimum 5+ years in cybersecurity, with 2+ year focused on AI/ML systems Strong understanding of machine learning workflows, model architectures, and data pipelines Familiarity with AI-specific threats: adversarial ML, model extraction, data leakage Experience with Python and ML libraries: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn Knowledge of secure software development and DevSecOps principles Preferred Qualifications: Experience securing LLMs and Generative AI systems Familiarity with AI governance, ethical AI, and model explainability Hands-on with tools like IBM Adversarial Robustness Toolbox, Microsoft Counterfit, etc. Certifications such as: Certified AI Security Specialist (CAISS) GIAC Machine Learning Security Engineer (GMSE) CISSP, OSCP, or CEH with AI/ML experience Seniority level
