The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professional analyzes and forecasts financial, economic, and other data to provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions. The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. The Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Professional collects, compiles, verifies, and analyzes financial information and economic indicators so that senior management has accurate and timely information for making strategic and operational decisions. Analyzes the financial implications of proposed investments or other transactions so that senior managers can evaluate alternatives against the organization's business objectives. Evaluates industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium, and long-term financial and competitive position. May involve financial modeling, reporting, and budgeting as well. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments. Additionally, the candidate will have the following key responsibilities: Complete monthly Group MA membership projections Work with finance and business partners to understand the latest trends of groups and business as a whole for analysis and providing insights to leadership Support the long-term plan processes Complete and track payments including group gainshares and allowances Maintenance of Group MA dashboards Create financial summaries for senior leaders Use Your Skills to Make an Impact
Required Qualifications: Bachelors Degree 4 or more years experience in finance/accounting Forecasting/budget analysis Presenting to business partners/leadership Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office
Excel/PowerPoint Ability to manage multiple priorities Strong analytic skills with attention to details Excellent verbal and written communication skills Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree Long-term planning Previous health insurance industry experience Experience with SAS, Power BI or other relational databases Location: Hybrid workstyle, 2-3 in office, Humana Tower, downtown Louisville, Ky Humana values personal identity protection. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc. $86,300 - $118,700 per year. This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
