The Crown Is Yours
As a Senior Data Engineering Manager, Platform you will lead teams of engineers who provide a best-in-class data environment and experience for our many and varied internal users to serve a plethora of business needs. You will be working closely with Technical Product Managers, Delivery Managers, and Data Engineers to help design, optimize, and deliver innovative solutions. You must have strong technical skills with the proven ability of taking initiative, driving results, having strong communication skills, and be a hands-on contributor when needed.
What you’ll do as a Senior Data Engineering Manager, Platform
- Lead teams of Data Engineers responsible for delivering a Data Platform used throughout DraftKings to serve various business, operational, and analytical needs.
- Manage hiring, training, and fostering a high-performance team culture.
- Mentor Data Engineers of all levels, motivating growth and supporting their career development.
- Ensure solutions are designed and architected to be testable, scalable, performant, and cost-efficient.
- Facilitate technical design discussions, provide guidance, and help teams overcome hurdles.
- 5-7 years of technical management experience.
- Hands-on SQL experience related to business intelligence and data engineering, including data warehousing, delivery, and operations.
- Proven mentorship skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Snowflake and cloud solutions (e.g., AWS).
- Experience with tools like Datadog, Airflow, Tableau, or other reporting tools is preferred.
We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. As a regulated gaming company, you may need to obtain a gaming license, and we’ll guide you through the process if relevant.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $179,600 - $224,500, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your specific pay will depend on factors like work location, skills, experience, and education. Your recruiter can provide more details.
