Join Leidos as a Senior Data Scientist and play a pivotal role in supporting our Program Management Office's Defense Intelligence Portfolio. This dynamic position focuses on a variety of intelligence programs, and candidates must already possess a TS/SCI security clearance.
Primary Responsibilities:
As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work collaboratively within the PMO, delivering analytical support and strategic recommendations regarding data collection, algorithm development, and exploitation strategies for the Intelligence Community's IT Enterprise initiatives. Your responsibilities will include:
Conducting gap analyses to refine baseline capabilities and enhance data integration and modeling approaches.
Participating in algorithm development initiatives, including qualification testing across various platforms and programs.
Utilizing statistics, data mining, and predictive analytics to manage complex datasets, ensuring consistency and integrity.
Creating data visualizations and mathematical models to present insightful findings.
Reviewing and developing technical documentation, including test plans, reports, and trade studies.
You may also support other PMO projects and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy as required.
Required Qualifications:
Current TS/SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience (additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
Proficiency in extracting and analyzing data from COTS products.
Strong programming skills in Python or R.
Familiarity with machine learning toolkits.
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills, especially with unstructured datasets.
Experience in intelligence domains or all-source intelligence.
Solid organizational and time management abilities.
Outstanding written and oral communication skills, capable of conveying detailed technical information to varied audiences.
Proficient in Microsoft Office for editing and standardizing documentation.
Experience in two or more of the following areas: machine learning, data mining, advanced analytics, programming, advanced statistical analysis, artificial intelligence, or software engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training in intelligence analysis.
Familiarity with US national intelligence partners.
Knowledge of non-linear workflows and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs).
Experience with tradecraft such as Activity Based Intelligence, Object Based Production, or Anticipatory Posturing.
Background in SIGINT, MASINT, GEOINT, or HUMINT analysis.
Excellent briefing and writing skills.
Pay Range:
$104,650.00 - $189,175.00
