Jet Insurance Company is a fast-growing fintech operating at the intersection of insurance and software. Jet is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer. Our platform is built on Laravel + Vue.js 2 and runs end-to-end in AWS. We prize entrepreneurial ownership, rigorous craftsmanship, and a bias for action—the same principles that helped us operate as the #1 wholesale surety brokerage in the U.S and launch our direct to customer surety platform. You’ll be the next senior engineer on a lean product team. Expect to pick up a feature ticket when it’s still fuzzy, refine it with stakeholders, then deliver a production-ready solution, database schema, back-end API, front-end UI, Docker image, IaC change, and CI/CD config, end-to-end. Our Core Tech Stack ● DevOps / Cloud: AWS (EC2, EB, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, CodePipeline), Docker, GitHub Actions What You’ll Do ● Design, build, test and ship new features across the stack. ● Refactor and harden existing code for performance, security and clarity. ● Automate everything: tests, builds, deployments, database migrations. ● Collaborate directly with product, underwriting and ops, but spend most of your day in focused, heads-down development. Must-Haves ● 5+ years professional software-engineering experience, with at least 3 years in Laravel. ● Deep knowledge of Laravel > 11, PHP 8.x, MySQL query optimisation and Vue.js component architecture. ● Clear, concise English, written and spoken. You can explain a complex solution on a 5-minute Zoom. ● Proven “closer” mentality: you own tickets until users are delighted. Nice-to-Haves ● Experience integrating or building with OpenAI, Gemini or other LLM ● Prior work in fintech / insure-tech / payments / reg-tech domains. ● Maintaining or introducing robust CI/CD strategies at scale. ● Hands-on DevOps: Dockerising apps, writing GitHub Actions (or similar) pipelines, provisioning AWS resources (CDK/Terraform/send-cloud-formation is fine).
