Rotating on-call, including weekends and holidays Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Technician/Engineer to support our plant operations. This individual will be responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and troubleshooting of electrical, instrumentation, and control systems critical to safe and reliable plant performance. Key Responsibilities: Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of plant instrumentation and control systems. Support configuration, testing, and commissioning of DCS, TCS, and PLC systems. Interpret technical documentation and electrical schematics for system diagnostics and repair. Analyze and resolve operational issues using strong problem-solving skills. Maintain and update control logic and program configurations for optimal plant efficiency. Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support plant system understanding and performance. Respond to after-hours callouts on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays. Qualifications: Four-year engineering degree, two-year technical certification, or associate degree in electronics preferred. Equivalent industry experience considered. An ABET-accredited degree is required for candidates applying as an Engineer. Experience with electrical systems, instrumentation, and plant maintenance required. Hands-on experience with DCS, TCS, or PLCs is essential. Emerson Ovation and/or GE Mark VIe system experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of boiler controls and plant systems. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to make sound decisions with limited information in high-pressure situations. Preferred Skills: Emerson Ovation DCS Familiarity with plant electrical codes and safety procedures Seniority level
