Position Summary

We are seeking an experience, hands-on leader to head Digital Analytics for Scientific Games. This role will own the data strategy and be responsible for managing digitally oriented data science and business intelligence related teams and outcomes. The ideal candidate is a business-oriented people leader who is excited about solving industry challenges and enabling improvement.
The
Director of Digital Analytics
will bridge technical and business worlds across many different stakeholders and teams—including highly technical analysts/engineers/scientists, developers, and non-technical laypersons. This role must be led by someone who is a team player and eager to collaborate across teams.
While this role is a highly strategic people leader, we expect the best fit will represent someone who is also eager to “roll up their sleeves” and lead their team by example—providing direct contribution and work outputs related to business intelligence and data science related initiatives.
Scope
Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of Digital Analytics initiatives, including business intelligence, data science, web analytics, and C/X.
Job Duties / Key Accountabilities
Lead a high-performing existing team of digitally oriented data analysts and data scientists, elevating their performance and maximizing their potential. Own the business intelligence product/content library, including dashboards aligned with audiences and roles, overseeing the full end-to-end development from requirements gathering to execution and deployment. Build and execute upon a robust digital data analytics strategy, identifying stakeholders, business opportunities, systems, data, etc. Proactively evaluate performance and provide recommendations across multiple contexts, including specific lottery customer programs, SG game studios, and leadership. Partner with technical teams to define business requirements, outlay technical expectations, and identify opportunities to capture, manage, and extract value from business-critical data. Help translate complex team findings into actionable and business valuable outcomes, including concrete recommendations to improve the current state. Define, execute, and monitor KPI’s on a regular basis, proactively driving awareness to stakeholders as necessary. Provide expertise and recommendations to leadership related to analytics & AI related use cases integrated into our core product suite.
Required
15+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related roles, with 3-5+ years leading teams. Proven success building and leading analytics teams in a high-growth or enterprise environment. Expertise w/ enabling relevant analytics such as behavioral segmentation, customer LTV assessment, user journey analytics, etc. Strong understanding and experience working with data in various forms, including OLTP systems, data warehouses, flat files, unstructured data Experience collaborating with data scientists, analysts, and business partners. Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Bachelor’s in a related field or MBA.

Experience in the lottery industry, with an understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lottery sales, player acquisition, and retention. Leadership related to digital Customer Experience (C/X) and Voice of the Customer (VoC) initiatives, including knowledge of 3rd party platform Experience with e-commerce in some capacity, including web-analytics, app-analytics Experience in the lottery industry, with an understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to lottery sales, player acquisition, and retention. Authority / Decision Making
This role will be a decision maker related to Digital Analytics, which includes business intelligence, data science, and data mining related activities aligned with the Digital channel.
Qualifications
Education/Years of Experience:
Bachelor’s in a related field or MBA. 15+ years of experience in data analytics, data science, or related roles, with 3-5+ years leading teams.
